A festival for everyone! For a full fun day out, that’s stress free and fun for all the family. Birkenhead Park Festival has got it covered! We know families are always looking for ways to keep all ages entertained.. it’s a difficult job to please everyone! – We anticipate the adults will have just as much fun as the children with the activities we have in store.
What’s on offer? Demonstrations, workshops, unique handcrafted gifts, art, world foods, local produce, plants & much much more. Try your hand at a new skill or relax a while & listen to some amazing live music.
Go back in time & discover our medieval village, experience the humour, hardships, smells ( pot cooking ! ) & incredible sights!

There is free parking for those who come by car and plenty of public transport links, that will drop you right at the Park.
Just £3.50 for an adult all day pass (on-line+15p booking fee) £5.00 on the day. Accompanied children under 14 and any age dogs are free 🙂 So a typical ‘Family Ticket’ ( 2 adults & 2 children ) is just £6.00 (if pre-bought on-line +15p booking fee)
Drumming circle – 3 days – feel the beat & enjoy the energetic workshops
Pottery painting – 3 days – select bright colours, get a bit messy – Jan will be on hand to help you discover your hidden talents.
Willow Weaving Sunday & Monday – get creative with Heather & Jeff, making mini dragonflies & garden decorations.
Mini Conservationists – 3 days – join the RSPB in interactive educational workshops.
Mini Artists – Saturday – create your own mini work of art with Sandrine.
Rescued Birds of Prey – 3 days – get up close & personal with owls & hawks.
Dapper Donkeys – 3 days
Medieval encampment – 3 days – immerse yourself in days gone by – watch whilst they carve wood, weave fibres & live the outdoor life.

Birkenhead Park is in the centre of Birkenhead, in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Merseyside. It was designed by Joseph Paxton and opened on 5 April 1847. It is generally acknowledged as the first publicly funded civic park in the world & was the inspiration for Central Park, New York. USA. Paxton had earlier designed Princes Park, Liverpool.
